You’re beginning to get into the groove of working from home. The kids know to stay out of the room, the sound of the washing machine isn’t permeating into your work domain and your spouse knows you're not home to socialize all day. But still, it feels like the guest room. Or the dining room. Or the corner you’ve carved out somewhere, anywhere.

You need YOUR space, your spot. Unfortunately, the new normal is not going away anytime soon. Besides, it’s kind of nice to avoid the commute, and the interruptions you had become accustomed to, back at your office. And it’s safer at home. We can become carriers before we even feel sick and you just can’t know how careful your fellow office mates are when it comes to disinfecting themselves and their “things”.

So you need a space. And the most important element in defining your home office is going to be your desk. Your spot. Your anchor.

Here are a few of my favorites. Function is key, of course. But the effect the size, shape, materials and color of the desk have on how you feel, will greatly help determine your productivity, happiness and stress level. Proven biophilic principles can help your well-being when used correctly; critically important, especially now. Each piece is available in custom sizes, finishes, and in some cases, materials. Browse some of our current favorite biophilic furniture designs.
