The Pony Express: 15th Annual Horse Show & Fundraiser

I’m always grateful for the opportunity to shine a light on organizations doing meaningful work in our local community, and The Pony Express is one I’m especially happy to share with you.

Founded by Linda Aldrich in 1982, the Pony Express is a community-based equine rescue organization dedicated to mentoring kids and committed to creating life skill and leadership learning opportunities utilizing horses as teachers, healers and agents of change.

The collective wisdom of horses provides humans with an interactive canvas designed to promote self-awareness, insight, and leadership skills. By providing experiential and reflective learning opportunities with horses, The Pony Express empowers youth to discover and realize their full potential.

What makes The Pony Express even more special is that many of the horses have stories of their own. The organization rescues horses and gives them a new purpose as teachers and partners in programs that can make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

You're Invited to the 15th Annual Horse Show and Fundraiser

On Sunday, November 8, from 1:00–4:00 PM, The Pony Express invites you to its ranch in Santa Rosa for its 15th Annual Horse Show and Fundraiser.

The afternoon will include pony rides, opportunities to meet the horses, and horsemanship demonstrations featuring students from Linda’s equine-assisted learning programs.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the people and horses behind the organization, see students demonstrate what they’ve learned, and enjoy an afternoon while supporting an important local cause.
