A Different Way To Work With An Interior Designer

Filed Under: Interior Design, Process - Behind the Scenes

work with an interior designer

Thoughtful, personal, and more accessible than you might expect.

Have you ever walked into a home and immediately felt at ease?

Not because it was extravagant, but because something about it simply felt right.

The light felt soft. The furniture made sense. The room seemed to hold you in a quiet, effortless way.

And then you return to your own home. It may be perfectly nice, even beautiful in places, but somehow it doesn’t give you that same feeling.

This is something I hear often. People like their home, but they don’t love it. They know something feels not-quite-right; something just feels “off”. Or they simply wish it felt more “pulled together”.

Almost always, the next sentence is: “I think I need a designer… but that’s probably out of my budget.” And for a long time, that assumption made sense.

Full-service interior design, where every detail is thoughtfully considered, researched, curated, designed, managed, and installed, is an investment. It’s also an incredibly comprehensive process, best suited for those with budgets exceeding six-figures.

But here’s what many people don’t realize: You don’t need to do everything, to change everything. Sometimes, transforming how your home feels starts with just one room. One space that becomes a foundation. One space that finally feels like you.

And that’s where a different approach to design can make all the difference.

Over the years, I’ve met so many thoughtful homeowners who truly do care deeply about how their home feels. They have good instincts, but feel unsure how to pull it all together. They certainly don’t want to make costly (or embarrassing) mistakes, and they simply want guidance they can trust.

What they don’t need is a full-scale design project. What they really need is clarity. About what they’re drawn to, what they would really like their home to look and feel like. They want to know what will actually work in their space, and most importantly, they want clarity about how to move forward with confidence.

That’s exactly why I created a more approachable way to work together.

A way that brings professional design within reach, without requiring a full-service commitment.

It’s called Design For You.

It’s a one-room design experience where we focus deeply and thoughtfully on a single space in your home.

Together, we explore how you want the room to feel, what’s working and what isn’t, and what the possibilities are for design within your space.

From there, I create a complete design plan for you. Your plan includes layout, furnishings, materials, and a clear path forward. You receive everything you need to bring the room to life, at your own pace.

Design For You

There’s no overwhelm, no guesswork and no costly mistakes. And importantly, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

What I’ve found is that once one room feels right, something shifts. You feel more connected to your space, you feel more at “home”. Everything feels more cohesive, allowing you to make decisions more easily, and create more magically.

It's not just one room, but a starting point. Because great design isn’t about spending more. It’s about understanding what matters, and bringing it together with intention.

If you’ve been feeling like your home is almost there, this may be the perfect place to begin.

Warmly,
Stacey

PS: If you’ve been thinking about refreshing a room but aren’t sure where to begin, I’m always happy to have a conversation. We can talk through your space, what’s feeling off, and whether a one-room design approach might be the right fit for you.
